3 reasons Todd Gurley will bounce back for Los Angeles Rams during Super Bowl 53

3. Two weeks for Gurley, Rams to prepare
For football fans, the two-week gap between the championship games and Super Bowl is always frustrating to deal with since most of them just want the game to be here instead of having to spend all that time waiting.
However, from a player perspective, this obviously works to their advantage for numerous reasons, whether it has to do with preparation or simply gaining a little extra time to recover from any injuries.
As for Gurley and the Rams, the good news is the star running back should benefit from the additional time off since there were some concerns in the NFC Championship over whether his knee injury was back in play.
Gurley and McVay made it clear right away that his knee was just fine, but it’s tough not to feel the slightest concern after watching him miss the final two games of the regular season because of it.

At least by having two weeks to prepare for the Patriots, Gurley and the Rams will feel much better about the running back being ready to go. Unlike the NFC Championship, Gurley could top the four carries received in the first quarter alone when facing New England just to show right away there are no reasons for concern.
