Here are three reasons the Los Angeles Rams should avoid bringing DeSean Jackson on during the 2019 season, despite interest on the wide receiver’s end.

While most of the attention surrounding the Los Angeles Rams at the moment is focused on Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 53, it looks like the NFC champions are making headlines as well in related to DeSean Jackson.

On Wednesday, Jackson didn’t hold back during an interview by expressing his interest in joining the Rams for the 2019 season, which is ironic since the wideout is still under contract for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the moment.

Two years ago, Jackson signed with the Buccaneers with the intention of providing the offense a dangerous deep threat for Jameis Winston to work with in the passing game alongside Mike Evans.

In fact, after Tampa Bay came up just shy of earning a playoff spot during the 2016 season, many believed the addition of Jackson would help put the team over the edge in a push to the postseason.

Instead, the Buccaneers are coming off back-to-back frustrating seasons, which is part of the reason why Dirk Koetter before Bruce Arians was hired as his replacement at head coach.

With Koetter out of the picture, one would think that Jackson would be open to giving it a shot with Arians as the new coach, but based off his comments on Wednesday, it appears the veteran wideout is looking for a fresh start in 2019.

As much as he would love to reunite with Sean McVay after the two worked together for a few years as members of the Washington Redskins, this should be a no brainer for Los Angeles to pass on the opportunity to land Jackson.

Nothing against Jackson since there was a time many years ago in which the Rams most likely would have loved the thought of this, but here are three reasons why Los Angeles should avoid the wideout at all costs.
