Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks took the time to surprise the team’s custodian with tickets to Super Bowl 53.
As the Los Angeles Rams continue to prepare for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 53, Brandin Cooks is being recognized for a kind gesture he decided to do off the field for the team’s custodian.
Most professional athletes receive heavy praise for all of the work they put in no the field, court, or even ice. But the real appreciation comes for the effort made off the field when they go out of their way to impact others, as Cooks did with Alfonso Garcia and his son.
To show his appreciation for all the work he’s done behind the scenes for the Rams as the team’s custodian, Cooks surprised Garcia with two tickets to Super Bowl 53 along with hotel and flight accommodations, which is simply amazing to hear.
Even though Cooks tried to keep a low profile about the kind gesture as Mike Jones from USA Today pointed point, Rams fans are glad to about this amazing act by the speedy wideout, because it makes them love him even more.
Back in the offseason, Los Angeles seemed to have a small void left by Sammy Watkins in the passing game when he left for the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency. And while the unit seemed like they would be just fine since Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, and Josh Reynolds were still part of the mix, Cooks was too good to pass on when the Rams found out he would be available from the Patriots.
Thanks to his playmaking ability to go along with blazing speed, Cooks has made it clear on numerous occasions how he’s a one of a kind player. Without his presence, the argument can be made Los Angeles wouldn’t be in this position playing for a Super Bowl title just three years after making the move back to California.
What’s even more exciting is the Rams wasted little time making sure Cooks would be around for the long run after rewarding the speedster with a hefty five-year extension before he even suited up for a single game.
Most importantly, just the fact that Los Angeles is fortunate enough to have a kind-hearted player like Cooks willing to pull acts of kindness on individuals like Garcia around for the long run is truly exciting since these actions stand out the most from the fan base.
