DeSean Jackson doesn’t hold back by expressing interest in joining Rams

During a recent interview, DeSean Jackson expressed interest in joining the Los Angeles Rams for the 2019 season.
In a matter of days, the Los Angeles Rams will officially go head-to-head against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 53, in what should be an exciting showdown between two teams loaded with talent on both sides of the football.
However, the Rams are making some headlines outside of this year’s Super Bowl in regards to players already expressing interest in joining the team for the 2019 season.
Despite being under contract at the moment with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, DeSean Jackson gave a recent interview in which he made a comment about his desire to join Los Angeles, which kind of came as a surprise.
That’s right, a player still under contract with the Buccaneers in Jackson made a comment about his desire to join the Rams in the offseason, which Tampa Bay most likely didn’t appreciate hearing.
First off, what player wouldn’t want to play for the Rams these days, especially on offense? What Sean McVay and Les Snead have done for this team over the last two years has truly been amazing to witness, as Los Angeles is built to be a serious contender for years to come.
As for Jackson’s comments, well just because the speedster expressed interest in joining the Rams doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to happen since the offense already seems to be in great shape with their current group of receivers led by Brandin Cooks.
Plus, when taking into consideration that Jackson most likely wouldn’t come at a cheap price, Los Angeles knows their money would be better off spent elsewhere, making this even more unlikely to happen.
Then again, isn’t it ironic how two years ago when the Rams were coming off a four-win season, there weren’t many players interested in joining the team?
All of a sudden, Los Angeles is one of the top destinations players, including Jackson apparently, would love to end up playing for to give them a better chance of being part of a Super-Bowl caliber team.
Unfortunately for Jackson, not even his previous connection with McVay seems like it could help him at this point since, as mentioned before, the Rams are already in great shape at the wide receiver position, so mess that up?
