7. Ethan Westbrooks

Signing undrafted free agents doesn’t always work out for the best in the NFL, but it’s tough to imagine where this Rams’ defense would be over the last five years if Ethan Westbrooks wasn’t part of the picture.

Los Angeles decided to give Westbrooks a chance back in 2014 when they were still in St. Louis, and three solid seasons would eventually lead to the team rewarding the former West Texas A&M star with a one-year extension during September of 2017.

Numbers wise, Westbrooks doesn’t always stand out like some of the other defenders on defense for the Rams, but he always seems to find a way to make his presence felt when looking at the pressure he applies to opposing quarterbacks.

At 28, Westbrooks still seems to have plenty of gas left in the old tank, and some will even make the case he still hasn’t even played his best football, despite all of the accomplishments from the previous five seasons.

Even more impressive, Westbrooks has been fortunate enough to stay healthy enough to appear in every game for Los Angeles dating back to the 2016 season, which is a huge accomplishment for any football player at this level in the NFL.
