Deone Bucannon

There’s a popular saying about how all good things must come to an end, and unfortunately for Deone Bucannon, early signs indicate his time in Arizona could be coming to an end after five seasons.

As much as the Cardinals would love to give Bucannon another shot on defense, the two sides going their separate ways seems like the best approach this offseason since his numbers took a bit of a dive in 2018.

In previous seasons, Bucannon was considered a lock to start when healthy, but seeing him only start six of the 13 games he appeared in this past season shows how much of a step back he took.

With this mind, Bucannon could be another one of those players who could come at a cheaper price since last year’s disappointing numbers could be used as leverage for the Rams or any other team expressing interest.

Keep in mind that Arizona did select Bucannon in the first round back in 2014, and if a fresh start could help him bounce back, this could be worth the risk for a team like Los Angeles looking to add depth to the linebacker position since this was already a major need in the first place.
