Mike Iupati
Keeping the trend going with the offensive line, no matter what happens in free agency once it gets underway for the Rams, guard was already a position they were expected to focus on.
As far as the NFC West is concerned, Mike Iupati deserves consideration for being the top guard available after the Cardinals decided to void the final year of his contract afters pending the last four seasons with the team.
With all due respect to Arizona, this could turn out to be a blessing in disguise for the veteran since the Cardinals are coming off a three-win season, and don’t appear to be built to make a run at the Super Bowl any time soon.
Since Iupati has already spent his entire NFL career playing in the NFC West after beginning his career with the 49ers, imagine if he were to able to keep the trend going by joining his third team within the division in the Rams.
This may sound like a long shot, but just like plenty of other players across the league, Iupati is at a point in his career where he needs to strongly consider joining a team with a legitimate shot at reaching the Super Bowl.
Luckily, the Rams fall into that category, and will be determined more than ever to make another serious run in 2019.
