Tre Boston

The Cardinals knew they had nothing to lose prior to last season when they made the decision to sign Tre Boston to a one-year deal at a cheap price. And while it was great to see the safety go on to start 13 of 14 games played in, this doesn’t necessarily guarantee Boston will be back in the picture.

If anything, a fresh start on a stronger contender could be best for Boston since the Cardinals are expected to go through another year of rebuilding after winning just three games throughout the 2018 season.

Boston isn’t going to solve all the problems for Arizona on the defensive side of the football, but watching him record eight interceptions over the previous two seasons is just one of many examples behind what he could bring to the table at safety.

Depending on what happens in free agency with Lamarcus Joyner since there’s a good chance the Rams safety will test the open market, and draw interest from other teams willing to offer more money, this could be the perfect opportunity to go after someone like Boston as a replacement.

Even more exciting, if Los Angeles were to express interest in Boston, he would most likely come at a cheaper price compared to other safeties.
