A team like the Cardinals can only give a player like Olsen Pierre so many opportunities to make a case for himself on the roster before the time comes to simply part ways, as bad as that sounds.
To top off the frustration, Pierre only saw 10 games of action during the 2018 season, and would eventually go on injured reserve as a result of a knee injury, making it seem clear that it’s only a matter of time before the defensive tackle finds himself on a new team.
The fact that Pierre has been trying to find a consistent home since 2015, and has only appeared in 24 games throughout his NFL career shows how difficult it’s been at times for the former Miami star.
Just like a few other players already discussed on this list, Pierre seems like another one of those players who would benefit from a fresh start on a new team, whether it happens to be in the NFC West or simply elsewhere.
Who knows, maybe working with an effective defensive coordinator like Wade Phillips is just what someone like Pierre needs to finally help the defensive tackle reach his true potential after all this time.
