2. San Francisco 49ers: Josh Allen, Edge, Kentucky

Around this time last year, the San Francisco 49ers were hyped up as a potential sleeper team to keep an eye on heading into the 2018 season to make a run at the Super Bowl after Jimmy Garoppolo helped the team finish on a strong note the year before by going 5-0.

Unfortunately, Garoppolo watched his season come to an end early on in 2018 after suffering a torn ACL, which is part of the reason why the 49ers are sitting with the second pick in this year’s draft.

The good news for San Francisco is assuming that Garoppolo returns to his normal ways once fully healthy, the offense should be in good shape when looking at some of the young talent with potential, especially after the emergence of George Kittle in the passing game.

As for the defense, it only seems fair the 49ers use the No. 2 pick to improve that side of the football, and after watching Josh Allen make quite the name for himself during his final season at Kentucky, the team would almost seem foolish to pass up on the opportunity.

The 17 sacks recorded by Allen as a senior shows the kind of burst he brings on defense, and San Francisco would benefit in a big way from watching him shine right away as a rookie.
