2. Marcus Gilchrist

It’s kind of hard to believe that Marcus Gilchrist could be on the verge of joining his fourth different team in four seasons if the Raiders decide to move on from the safety, but this shouldn’t prevent a team like the Rams expressing interest.

If anything, Los Angeles should be intrigued by the fact that Gilchrist had one of the best years of his career by starting all 16 games while recording three interceptions in the process to show he still has what it takes to make an impact on defense.

For the Rams, there’s a good chance they allow Lamarcus Joyner to hit the open market after using the franchise tag on the safety for the 2018 season since he didn’t exactly live up to expectations.

Since Joyner is expected to look for quite a hefty contract, Los Angeles seems better off looking for a potential replacement, and there’s a good chance that someone like Gilchrist would come at a much cheaper price.

Plus, an experienced safety like Gilchrist coming on board, it would only help put the Rams in better position on defense to pick right up where they left off from the playoffs in 2019 as a scary looking unit.
