3. A.J. Cann

Over the last two seasons, McVay has done an amazing job in improving the offensive line for the Rams when looking at how much of a disaster the unit was back in 2016 during Jared Goff‘s rookie campaign.

After that horrendous season, Los Angeles knew deep down the only way to get the best from Goff would be to provide him with the necessary protection on offense, and the results have been great since then.

Heading into the upcoming free agency period, the Rams have a few questions in need of answering in regards to their offensive line since there’s a chance the unit could be without both Andrew Whitworth (considering retirement) and Rodger Saffold (free agent) for 2019.

Even if both players end up returning for another year in Los Angeles, the team is still expected to consider options at guard over the next few months, which is where A.J. Cann could come into play.

A former third-round pick in 2015, Cann has been one of the most reliable members of the offensive line for the Jaguars ever since by starting 59 of 60 games appeared in over the last four seasons.

Some claim that Cann took a step back in 2017, but maybe a fresh start on a new team like the Rams could benefit the South Carolina product.
