1. Jordan Phillips

In the middle of last season, Buffalo knew they had nothing to lose when claiming Jordan Phillips off waivers from the Miami Dolphins since if things failed to work out for the best, they could easily move on from the defensive tackle in 2019.

Turns out, Phillips joining the Bills helped the former second-round pick turn things around, and after seeing how great of a fit he appeared to be in 12 games, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see Buffalo consider the possibility of bringing him back on a new deal.

Of course, if the Bills end up deciding to spend their money elsewhere, this could open the door up for the Rams to make a move since the thought of him working with Wade Phillips on defense along with the other members of Los Angeles could work wonders.

There’s a reason why Phillips is considered one of the most respected defensive coordinators in the league, and after looking at all of his previous success bringing out the best in certain players throughout his career, maybe Phillips the defensive tackle could be added to the list.

Plus, just imagine what a defender like Phillips could learn from one of the best in Aaron Donald if they were to become teammates during the 2019 season since the 20.5 sacks recorded by the Defensive Player of the Year didn’t happen by accident.
