1. Dee Ford

Give Dee Ford all of the credit in the world for bouncing back after an injury-plagued season in 2017 that limited the linebacker to appearing in just six games for the Chiefs.

After starting every single game for Kansas City while setting a career high with 13 sacks, early signs point to the Chiefs using the franchise tag on Ford at the moment, which would eliminate the Rams from being able to sign him right away.

However, since nothing is set in stone at the moment, and teams can easily change their minds at any given moment, let’s assume that Kansas City decides they don’t want to spend all of that money on Ford while allowing him to hit the open market.

Does this mean Ford would be too costly for the Rams? Most likely, the answer to that question is yes since the team needs to be careful about heavily investing in another player, but also keep in mind if they were willing to spend the money they did on Ndamukong Suh for one year, it seems like they would be willing to give Ford a chance.

Without question, Ford would be an amazing addition to a defense like the Rams, but unfortunately until the Chiefs make a decision, Los Angeles needs to be patient, and wait to see how this situation plays out for the linebacker.
