1. C.J. Mosley

Even if the Rams decide to bring Dante Fowler Jr. back for another season since the former first-round pick did make a strong case for himself after coming over in a trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles would still benefit from adding another linebacker for 2019.

Despite all of the hype surrounding the defense last season, linebacker was considered one of the areas for the Rams that could use some improvement. And while C.J. Mosley seems like he would make for a great signing in free agency, Los Angeles also knows the linebacker won’t come at a cheap price.

Similar to most of the top free agents from this year’s class, Mosley is expected to draw interest from numerous team looking to fill a need at the linebacker position, meaning the Rams may have to be a little more aggressive in the negotiation process if the interest were there.

Between the 77 starts or the fact that he’s reached the Pro Bowl in four of five seasons, it’s no wonder that Mosley is considered one of the best players available at his position for free agency, and could certainly give Los Angeles an extra boost on the defensive side of the football.
