2. Elijah Lee

Potential wise, Elijah Lee appears to be one of those players the 49ers want to keep around a little longer just to see if he continues to improve with NFL experience, but also they don’t want to hold themselves back from missing out on other players with that roster spot.

Originally, Lee’s NFL career started off with the Minnesota Vikings after the team decided to use a seventh-round pick on the linebacker in 2017 before eventually signing him to the practice squad.

Shortly after, Lee was signed by San Francisco from Minnesota’s practice squad, and would go on to play 14 games to show he was worth taking a risk on by the team.

As for this past season, Lee would end up appearing in every game for the 49ers, and worked his way into the starting lineup on five occasions, making it easy to understand why the team is considering the thought of bringing him back again in 2019.

Linebacker has been one of the weaker areas for the Rams dating back to last season since the teams aren’t as set as other positions, and Lee certainly seems like the kind of impact player who could become a surprise impact player if given the opportunity for the NFC champions.
