1. Corey Liuget

Cards on the table, it’s easy to understand the decision by the Chargers not to pick up the option for Corey Liuget for the 2019 season since he’s coming off a brutal torn quad tendon injury that limited him to playing in just six games last year.

Plus, when taking a closer look at the numbers Liuget had been putting together in previous years, the argument can be made the Chargers were overpaying the defensive tackle, and a fresh start after eight seasons may be best for both parties.

As for whether the Rams would consider this possibility, well keep in mind they are expected to consider options at defensive tackle this offseason, and Liuget’s experience alone makes him a worthy candidate from a depth perspective.

Just because the Chargers declined his option doesn’t mean Liuget still can’t help a team like the Rams make an impact on the defensive side of the football, and if the price is right, the NFC champions have every reason to consider this scenario.

Plus, with the Rams arguably having the league’s best defensive player in Aaron Donald, it’s safe to assume that Liuget would benefit in a huge way by playing alongside the former Pittsburgh standout.
