3 reasons Los Angeles Rams should consider trade to land Justin Houston

1. Rams could be willing to give up first rounder
Sean McVay has a long list of amazing accomplishment from his first two years as head coach with the Rams, but the one thing that stands out the most is how he’s yet to have a first round pick in the draft.
One year after the Rams went without a first-round pick as a result of the trade in 2016 to land Jared Goff, the team pulled off an unexpected surprise last offseason by sending their first rounder to the New England Patriots to land Cooks.
Does this mean the Rams would consider pulling the trigger for a third year in a row if the Chiefs were asking for a first round in exchange for Houston? This may sound crazy to even consider for a team like Los Angeles, but if they truly believe that Houston can put them in better position for a Super Bowl run, why wouldn’t they just do it?
Watching the success from the previous two seasons has made it clear the Rams would be just fine without the No. 31 pick in this year’s draft if it meant they were getting an amazing player like Houston in return.
Plus, after looking at some of the success by Los Angeles in the mid rounds of the previous two drafts, they’re one of the few teams that could afford to go without a first rounder again come April.
