5. Alex Barnes

One of the most exciting parts about the combine is seeing some of the players who emerge out of nowhere with big days, and Alex Barnes has to be thrilled over his draft stock being on the rise following a strong outing in front of coaches.

Watching Barnes end his career at Kansas State on a high note last season by rushing for 1,355 yards with 12 touchdowns already caught the attention of numerous teams across the NFL. But the running back setting the repetitions record on the bench press (34) has even more teams showing interest in Barnes moving forward.

Barnes has the kind of size and strength that makes it seem he’s in for a successful career in the NFL, but the one factor that makes this an interesting scenario is the kind of fit he could be in McVay’s offense to help reach his true potential in the NFL.

No one needs to explain just how beneficial it can be to join an offense run by McVay after looking at all of the players from the previous two years, and the thought alone of having Barnes to work with should put a smile on the face of any Rams fan.
