3. Travis Homer

Similar to a few other running backs, Travis Homer was considered one of the big winners at the position from the combine after looking at all the ways he stood out, whether it was his 40-yard dash (4.48) or vertical jump (39.5).

However, just because Homer made a name for himself at the combine doesn’t necessarily guarantee that he’s going to succeed at the NFL level since the Miami standout still has a lot of work to do over these next few months.

The good news for Homer is now that he’s caught the attention of coaches and scouts across the NFL, the running back should be feeling a little extra motivation moving forward to make a stronger case for himself once the draft arrives in April.

Hanging on to the football may be one of the issues Homer will need to work on before officially arriving in the NFL since this will clearly hurt his value, but hopefully this is something to work on with the right coaching.

A high-powered offense like the Rams seems like a dream for a speedy running back like Homer, and it will be interesting to see if he draws consideration now that Los Angeles may need extra help following the news with Gurley.
