A new report indicates the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys are discussing the possibility of playing in Hawaii for a 2019 preseason game.

At the moment, the Los Angeles Rams are continuing to evaluate all of the talent they were fortunate enough to watch in Indianapolis this past weekend during the NFL Combine before free agency officially gets into full swing next week.

However, it looks like the Rams are also looking ahead to August in regards to the preseason, and the possibility of switching things up by playing one of their games in Hawaii against the Dallas Cowboys.

ESPN’s Todd Archer discussed the possibility this week over whether this could happen, and while this may seem like a distraction for Los Angeles, this could actually give the players along with the coaching staff something to look forward to.

As great as it can be to use the preseason for players trying to make a case for themselves in earning a roster spot, most football fans believe four games happens to be way too much, and drags on longer than it should before the real action gets underway in September.

By having an opportunity to play in Hawaii, it’s safe to say that members of the Rams certainly wouldn’t mind a little getaway during one of the toughest times of the year to help get in a little extra relaxation before the real stress begins during the 2019 season.

In previous years, a trip to Hawaii used to be a reward for players who were fortunate enough to earn trips to the Pro Bowl before the league switched things up in 2015, and both of these teams seem like they would love the chance for a business trip, even if it was only for preseason.

On a positive note, at least the league is considering this move for the preseason instead of the regular season since the thought of having to deal with a trip to Hawaii during an actual meaningful game sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen for both parties.

At least while the league continues to try working the details out over this possibility, Rams fans can begin to look forward to the excitement of next week when free agency officially gets underway, as they look to fill numerous areas in need of improvement.
