It looks like the Los Angeles Rams may not have to worry about Antonio Brown joining the Arizona Cardinals after all, according to a recent report.

Even though Antonio Brown wasn’t expected to join the Los Angeles Rams sine the offense is set with a trip of wide receivers already led by Brandin Cooks, there has been speculation over the possibility of the wideout still ending up in the NFC West for the 2019 season.

At first, the San Francisco 49ers seemed like a potential landing spot for Brown to provide Jimmy Garoppolo with a reliable No. 1 wideout he desperately would need. But after the 49ers made it clear they weren’t interested, it was the Arizona Cardinals who jumped into the conversation as a potential landing spot for Brown during the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

Rightfully so, it was easy to understand the interest by the Cardinals since whether it would be Josh Rosen or Kyler Murray under center, the presence of a wideout like Brown would make life much easier for either quarterback.

Of course, the one concern that stood out right away was whether Brown would be happy being part of an Arizona team that finished at the bottom of the NFL in 2018, although it looks like this is no longer an issue since the Cardinals have been ruled out of the trade talks.

As devastating as this news is for Arizona fans, at least Los Angeles benefits from not having to worry about Brown joining the NFC West since it could have made things a little more interesting, although it doesn’t look like the Rams were too concerned over the scenario.

With all due respect to the Cardinals, the Rams know their division rivals are still at least a year or two away before they can even be part of the contender conversation. And while Brown most likely would have made things a little more interesting, this still doesn’t take away from the questions Arizona has at quarterback.

Los Angeles has rightfully become the team to beat in the NFC West thanks to their impressive play over the last two seasons, and even though it would have been fun to watch Brown face the team twice a year, at least this appears to be a non-issue moving forward.
