14. Atlanta Falcons: Houston Defensive Tackle Ed Oliver
Do the Atlanta Falcons have what it takes to turn things around in 2019? After back-to-back seasons of reaching the playoffs while looking like a Super Bowl contender, the Falcons were expected to pick right up where they left off before coming up way short last year, giving this team plenty to think about this offseason.
Over the last couple of years, Atlanta’s defense seemed to be an underrated group slowly on the rise after, and even though it was disappointing to see the unit take a step back, this doesn’t mean they can’t improve heading into the 2019 season.
Right away, one of the top prospects that seem like would make a great fit for the Falcons on defense with his explosive style of play.
A defensive tackle like Oliver seems like he would be able to make a splash right away on defense for a team like Atlanta, and even though he didn’t run in Indianapolis, the Houston star made up for it in other areas, especially on the bench press (32 repetitions).
At No. 14, it would almost be an absolute shock if Oliver still weren’t available for the Falcons to consider, although his stock could always rise in the next couple of weeks to prevent this from happening.
