2019 NFL Mock Draft 2.0: Garrett Bradbury intriguing option for Los Angeles Rams

15. Washington Redskins: Missouri Quarterback Drew Lock
Words can’t even describe how heartbreaking it was to watch Alex Smith suffer that gruesome leg injury last season, and it’s even more crushing to hear the veteran is expected to miss all of 2019 as well, showing how much his career is in jeopardy.
As bad as it sounds, the Washington Redskins realize deep down that moving on from Smith will eventually be the likely scenario, meaning it may not be a bad idea to look at this year’s draft to find a new potential quarterback of the future.
Even if the Redskins feel confident enough in Colt McCay being the answer for the 2019 season, the last thing Washington wants to do is look back, and regret passing on someone that would have been a great fit, such as Drew Lock.
While the 28 touchdown passes from this past season may not seem like that big of a deal, Lock finishing with 44 during his junior year at Missouri is just one of many reasons why NFL scouts have been following him for quite some time.
Washington desperately needs help at the quarterback, and even though plenty could happen over the next two months, Lock could be the answer they’ve been waiting for on offense.
