23. Houston Texans: Kansas State Offensive Lineman Dalton Risner

All hope seemed lost for the Houston Texans at the beginning of last season following their poor start, but all that mattered is the team managed to turn things around by becoming one of the hottest teams in football before going on to win the AFC South title.

Unfortunately, the Texans would watch their Super Bowl dreams come up way short after losing right away in the playoffs to the Indianapolis Colts, making it clear the team still has numerous areas in need of improvement.

After watching how many times Deshaun Watson was hit throughout the regular season and playoffs, Houston fully understands the importance of bringing on additional help for their beloved quarterback this offseason.

Otherwise, the Texans will only be hurting themselves by putting Watson at risk to get hurt again. So if a worthy offensive lineman happens to be available this late in the first round, don’t be surprised if Houston strongly considers the possibility.

Dalton Risner was already considered a potential late first-round pick leading up to the combine, and the Kansas State star certainly helped his case with an impressive outing. With his blocking ability, just imagine how thrilled Watson would be to see Houston land Risner in the first round to provide much better protection under center.
