25. Philadelphia Eagles: Alabama Running Back Josh Jacobs

During their epic Super Bowl run from the 2017 season, one of the main reasons why the Philadelphia Eagles were so successful on offense was due to their approach of riding the hot hand at running back.

Similar to the New England Patriots over the years, instead of the Eagles focusing on one player receiving most of the attention, Doug Pederson found plenty of success using a trio of running back towards the end of the regular season along with the playoffs.

Flash forward to 2019, and Philadelphia has more questions than answers at the running back position since not only is Jay Ajayi recovering from a torn ACL and expected to hit free agency, but also Darren Sproles still seems to be contemplating retirement.

Take this into consideration with the younger group of Eagles running backs like Corey Clement and Josh Adams who have yet to prove they’re capable of being a top running back, it’s easy to understand why Philadelphia is focusing on the position this offseason.

Due to a groin injury, Josh Jacobs was limited at the combine, but this still won’t prevent the Alabama star from being considered one of the top prospects at his position once the draft arrives.

With the Eagles in need of help at running back, Jacobs is a name worth keeping an eye on once Philadelphia is on the clock in April.
