2. San Francisco 49ers: Ohio State Defensive Lineman Nick Bosa

Since quarterback won’t be a target in this year’s draft now that Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to be around for the long run, there’s nothing the San Francisco 49ers would love more than to see the Arizona Cardinals go with Kyler Murray at No. 1.

Why? Well, if the Cardinals decide to go quarterback with the top overall pick, this would mean that Nick Bosa, who many consider the top defensive prospect from this year’s draft class, would be available at No. 2, which would seem like an absolute gift for the 49ers.

This year’s draft is loaded with effective pass-rushers expected to go in the first round, and Bosa has been viewed as a potential No. 1 pick in the draft for years after looking at the impact made all those years at Ohio State.

Plus, after watching how successful Nick Bosa, his brother, has been all these years with the Los Angeles Chargers, this makes it easy to understand why teams are so high on Bosa’s NFL potential.

Bosa displays similar quickness to his brother, and San Francisco understands the importance of improving their defense to give them a better shot at competing in the NFC West. Similar to the Cardinals, the 49ers are focused on building the necessary team to have a better chance at taking down the Rams, which will obviously be easier said than done.
