After failed stints with the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles, Danny Amendola finally found a home in St. Louis during the 2009 season. Even though Amendola will mostly be remembered for his accomplishments with the New England Patriots by benefitting from playing with Tom Brady, keep in mind they never would have noticed him if it wasn’t for his time with the Rams.

Losing Wes Welker to the Denver Broncos in 2013 was a tough blow for the Patriots, but at least Amendola turned out to be quite a fit for them. He played a key role in helping the team earn two Super Bowl titles during the five years spent with the team.

Injuries were annoying for Amendola to deal with at times in St. Louis. When healthy, the wideout turned out to be quite the effective weapon in the passing game for the Rams.

When looking at his time with the team, it’s safe to say that 2010 was the best year of Amendola’s career with the Rams. He hauled in 85 passes for 689 yards with three touchdowns.

It’s tough to figure out what could have been if Amendola stuck around with the Rams beyond the 2012 season. At least Rams fans had someone to cheer for during those Super Bowl wins when he was a member of the Patriots.
