3. Linebacker was team need this offseason

Will the Rams still look into adding another linebacker or two this offseason, whether it’s through free agency or the draft? Absolutely since Fowler doesn’t fill their entire need at the linebacker position.

Around this time last year, linebacker was one of the biggest questions surrounding Los Angeles on defense, and while Fowler certainly helped fill that need, there was always room for improvement.

Not to mention, the Rams recently made the decision to part ways with Mark Barron, so convincing Fowler to re-sign now instead of having to worry about going into free agency without two of their starters from last season is a huge relief.

On a positive note, at least Los Angeles has other players like Cory Littleton and Samson Ebukam, who stepped up in big ways during the 2018 season, that seem ready to step up even more on defense in 2019.

Even with Fowler on board, it’s not going to prevent Littleton and Ebukam from losing time on the field since early signs point to these three playing key starting roles next season.

As for what kind of depth the Rams will end up adding in the coming weeks, only time will tell for the NFC champions, but based off their history from the previous two offseasons, they should be good to go.
