2. Clay Matthews

Could the opportunity to live in California year round convince Clay Matthews to join the Rams for the 2019 season, or possibly even longer? Believe it or not, this scenario doesn’t sound all that crazy when taking a few key factors into consideration that could benefit both parties.

While some football fans believe that Matthews’ prime years are behind him, the veteran linebacker still seems capable of bringing plenty to the table for Los Angeles, and it appears the interest is already there between the two sides.

From knowing what it takes to win a Super Bowl to earning six trips to the Pro Bowl over his 10 years with the Green Bay Packers, it’s easy to understand why the Rams seem to be at least weighing the possibility of Matthews.

Even if his role wouldn’t be as big as it was in Green Bay, imagine what kind of influence Matthews could have with some of the younger linebackers while providing depth at the same time for Los Angeles.

In a way, Matthews fits perfectly what the Rams preached last year by bringing on any player necessary that put the team in better position to win the Super Bowl, meaning this is one potential signing worth keeping an eye on.
