The Los Angeles Rams will be keeping an eye on the Seattle Seahawks Tuesday when veteran wideout Jordy Nelson is scheduled to visit the team.

Free agency continues to be quiet for the most part when it comes to the Los Angeles Rams, but this hasn’t stopped the rest of the division from continuing to make key moves to put them in better position to compete with the NFC champions.

While the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals continue to look like long shots at the moment when it comes to competing for the NFC West title, the Seattle Seahawks rightfully appear to be the biggest threat for the Rams at the moment.

Despite the fact that Los Angeles was able to win the division for a second year in a row in 2018, Seattle certainly made things interesting at times, and will most likely be motivated more than ever in 2019, especially after earning a Wild Card spot this past season.

Just like every other team across the league, the Seahawks certainly have a few areas in need of improvement if this is going to have any chance of happening, one of which is arguably the wide receiver position.

Throughout his career, Russell Wilson has always been the kind of quarterback that makes the players around him better, but also there’s only so much he can do on his own without the proper supporting cast.

From now until the start of training camp, Seattle was expected to consider possible additions at the wide receiver position. And while Jordy Nelson isn’t going to fill all the needs in the passing game, the veteran’s experience alone could work wonders for the Seahawks while giving the Rams with another weapon to worry about in the NFC West.

Rightfully so, there are numerous teams considering the possibility of adding Nelson to their roster following his recent release from the Oakland Raiders since a fresh start on a new team could help him bounce back in a big way, especially if the team happens to be a serious contender.

After all of those years spent being a reliable target for Aaron Rodgers as a member of the Green Bay Packers, Nelson found himself on the Raiders in 2018 with the hope of doing the same for Derek Carr.

Sure, the 63 catches by Nelson for 739 yards with three touchdowns weren’t exactly the worst numbers in the world, but also Oakland in general was a complete mess, and terrible experience for the veteran wideout.

At this stage in his career, Nelson will most likely look to join a serious contender since the time to win a Super Bowl is closing in, and even though the Rams won’t be one of those teams since they’re set at receiver, it will be interesting to see how things go on Tuesday with the Seahawks.

Los Angeles may not need Nelson’s services, but this doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t become an issue if Seattle turns out to be a potential landing spot, and they have to face him twice in 2019.
