3 running back options for Rams if Malcolm Brown joins Lions

3. Trade for Jordan Howard
Sooner or later, it seems like the Chicago Bears will find a trade partner for Jordan Howard, who will be entering his fourth NFL season in 2019.
Back in 2016 when he earned a trip to the Pro Bowl after finishing with 1,611 yards from scrimmage to go along with seven touchdowns, Howard was considered one of the biggest steals of the draft that year since the Bears managed to select him in the fifth round.
With this in mind, why would Chicago be all of a sudden shopping Howard? Well, the team not only recently signed Mike Davis, and already has Tarik Cohen, but since Howard is entering the final year of his rookie contract, a trade seems like a strong option for the Bears.
Of course, the tough factor here would be figuring out if Howard would be willing to take on a reduced role as the No. 2 running back behind Gurley, which hopefully wouldn’t be an issue since he’s already used to sharing carries with Cohen.
This may seem like a long shot at the moment, but when has that ever stopped the Rams before when it comes to pulling off trades out of nowhere? If Los Angeles believes Howard will put them in better position to make a run at the Super Bowl, they would easily consider this trade scenario.
