12. Tennessee Titans
Watching the Tennessee Titans come up short of reaching the playoffs in 2018 was beyond frustrating since all the team needed to do in Week 17 was defeat the Indianapolis Colts to earn a Wild Card spot.
But as frustrating as this was to see, at least the Titans should feel confident over their chances of bouncing back to potentially earn a trip to the playoffs for a second time in three seasons since the team has been viewed as one of the big winners in free agency.
Due to his history of injuries, Tennessee understands the importance of making sure that Marcus Mariota receives the proper protection moving forward to avoid any sort of unnecessary risk, although it was great to see the team acquire Ryan Tannehill for insurance purposes.
Along with Tannehill, the Titans also came up big in signing one of the top offensive lineman available in Rodger Saffold, who the Rams will miss big time after the impact made over the last couple of seasons.
After looking at the kind of protection Saffold provided for Jared Goff over the last two seasons, Tennessee should be thrilled over what the veteran can do for Mariota. If all goes well, the Titans should be able to make a case for a top contender in the AFC, but players like Mariota staying healthy will be key.
