31. Miami Dolphins

Are the Miami Dolphins in full tanking mode after trading Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans after giving him numerous opportunities over the years to prove himself? The Dolphins were one of a few teams expected to address quarterback this offseason, but Tannehill’s replacement came as a bit of a surprise.

With all due respect to Ryan Fitzpatrick since there were times last year in which the veteran did play well, Miami is making it seem like they’re already throwing in the towel for the 2019 season by making him their starter.

If this doesn’t happen to be the case, then why didn’t the Dolphins go after a different quarterback, one that would put them in better position to compete in the AFC East?

Moving on from Tannehill seems like it was best for both parties, but it’s going to be difficult for Miami to escape the criticism that comes with their decision to make Fitzpatrick the starter instead of considering someone else.

Playing in the AFC East with the New England Patriots is never an easy task since Tom Brady basically makes it impossible for the other three teams to have a fighting chance. And with Fitzpatrick under center, the Dolphins seem like early favorites to finish at the bottom of the division.
