3. Los Angeles Rams
Should the Rams be higher on this list as defending NFC champions? While the argument can be made this could be the case, Los Angeles should just be thrilled over being ahead of other top contenders in the conference on this list, such as the New Orleans Saints.
Even though the Rams weren’t making crazy moves at the beginning of free agency like other teams, Sean McVay’s squad has been pulling off some great moves as of late.
Not only did the team upgrade at the backup quarterback position by convincing Blake Bortles to come on board for a one-year deal, but the addition of Clay Matthews on defense should work wonders.
Football fans can say whatever they want about Matthews at this stage in his career, but the veteran does bring a ton to the table, whether it’s his Super Bowl winning experience or simply mentoring some of the younger guys on defense.
Similar to last year, Los Angeles is putting together the necessary team to make another run at the Super Bowl, and if they do earn another trip, maybe the results will be different this time around sinc what happened against the New England Patriots was simply embarrassing.
