4. Denver Broncos, Week 3

Over the years, the third preseason game tends to be considered a dress rehearsal for teams before the actual games get underway in a few weeks to see where certain starters stand at the moment, although it’s never officially a guarantee.

Depending on what McVay decides to do, it will be interesting to see if the Rams head coach would consider giving some of his starters significant playing time in this one against the Denver Broncos just to help put them in better position for the real thing in September.

Since Peyton Manning decided to call it a career after winning the Super Bowl in 2016, the Broncos have struggled to find a reliable quarterback to build the franchise around. And while Joe Flacco could be a great short-term solution, Denver still needs to find one for the long run.

Could this mean that Los Angeles will end up facing a rookie quarterback for a good amount of this Week 3 contest if Denver looks to the draft to help fill the need?

If this happens to be the case, that rookie better be ready to face a Rams’ defense that will be ready to make a statement about being one of the top units in the league.
