It looks like the Los Angeles Rams may have some interest in Jaylon Ferguson as a potential option for the 2019 NFL Draft.

From now until the conclusion of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams will be linked to plenty of prospects that will seem capable of helping the team make another run at earning a trip to the Super Bowl, whether they’re on offense or defense.

This time of year, it’s always exciting to see certain players schedule private workouts with teams, especially if the potential is there to be selected in the first round of the upcoming draft in a few weeks.

As for the Rams, the team hopes to have numerous strong options to consider once on the clock at No. 31, and maybe if they’re lucky, Jaylon Ferguson will find a way to slip through the first 30 picks.

Unfortunately for Los Angeles, there will be a handful of teams looking to improve on defense by adding another edge star, and Ferguson’s stock has been on the rise in recent weeks to a point where the Louisiana Tech star seems capable of making an impact right away as a rookie.

The report above shows the kind of attention Ferguson has received in recent weeks, and even if the Rams found themselves in a position where they considered a potential trade to move up a few spots, this could very well be worth it in the long run.

Los Angeles is already fortunate enough to arguably have the top defensive player the NFL has to offer in Aaron Donald, and just the thought of Ferguson learning from one of the best would have the potential to work wonders for both parties.

Just how good of a prospect is Ferguson? Two years after recording 14.5 sacks as a sophomore, Ferguson would finish his senior year with the Bulldogs on an extremely high note by finishing with 17.5 sacks, and 26 tackles for a loss.

With these kind of numbers, it shouldn’t come as a surprise at all to see the Rams and a handful of other teams going out of their way to schedule visits with Ferguson since the defender is already showing signs of being worth a first-round selection.
