4. Clelin Ferrell

Early assumptions point to Clemson seeing numerous star players going in the first round of this year’s draft, one of which could happen to be Clelin Ferrell.

With the Rams already expressing interest in both Ferrell and Dexter Lawrence after Los Angeles planned a visit with the two Tigers, the question now becomes whether these two made a strong enough impact to earn consideration in the first round, even if the team had to tradeup.

While it’s always fun to have a little friendly competition between college teammates to see who ends up going first in the draft, Ferrell could be ahead of Lawrence at the moment, although plenty could change in these next few weeks.

Then again, it’s difficult to ignore the fact that Ferrell seemed to improve with experience at Clemson, and recorded 21 sacks during his final two seasons to show what he’s capable of on the defensive side of the football when on top of his game.

With his toughness, Ferrell seems like he would make a great fit on a defense like the Rams to give them a better chance of competing in the NFC, especially if he continues the trend of getting better with experience.
