Clemson stars Dexter Lawrence, Clelin Ferrell visiting with Los Angeles Rams

Both Dexter Lawrence and Clelin Ferrell have visits scheduled with the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday to see if they would be good fits during the 2019 NFL Draft.
With only two weeks to go before the 2019 NFL Draft officially gets underway, the Los Angeles Rams are rightfully trying to squeeze in as many last-minute visits as possible, with Dexter Lawrence and Clelin Ferrell being two of the latest.
Thanks to Dabo Swinney making Clemson a powerhouse in college football, the Tigers have seen numerous key players go on to succeed at the NFL level, and chances are they will see a few stars get selected in the first round of this year’s draft.
Could one of those players end up on the Rams? Only time will tell since Los Angeles is in a tough position at No. 31 with having to wait to see which players are available, but at least seeing the team agreeing to meet with Lawrence and Ferrell is a great sign.
As mentioned before, chances are that both Lawrence and Ferrell will be off the board by the conclusion of the first round since plenty of teams looking to address the defensive line would love to bring either Clemson star on board.
Of course, the tough factor with this situation is whether the Rams would need to trade up a few spots to land one of these players if the interest were there since it may be risky to wait until No. 31 to see if they were available.
Offense has been the major strength of the Rams over the last two seasons since Sean McVay came on board as the head coach, but also Wade Phillips has done a phenomenal job on the defensive side of the football, especially with Aaron Donald.
When looking at all of the potential surrounding Lawrence and Ferrell with their athletic ability, one can only imagine how much these future rookies would benefit from teaming up with someone like Donald to make the defense that much more dangerous.
But before jumping that far ahead, here’s to hoping things go well on Thursday when Los Angeles meets with both players to see if either Lawrence or Ferrell would be good fits at No. 31 along with determining whether they would possibly be worth trading up for as well.
