With Todd Gurley scheduled to speak to the media on Monday, the Los Angeles Rams running back won’t be able to avoid the topic regarding his knee issues.
At the moment, the main focus surrounding the Los Angeles Rams is on the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft, but in a matter of days, it looks like Todd Gurley could become the popular topic of conversation.
Since those dreadful performances in the NFC Championship and Super Bowl 53, football fans in general have been dying to know what exactly has been going on with Gurley’s knee.
Even after the news broke in the offseason that Gurley was dealing with arthritis, fans were still concerned over the entire situation, mainly because the organization seemed to be avoiding the topic all together when it first happened instead of providing the necessary answers.
Just look at the two weeks leading up to Super Bowl 53 when Gurley only rushed for 10 yards on four carries with a touchdown in the NFC Championship when it obvious that something was up, yet the Rams continued to deny anything was wrong.
Once Gurley displayed another embarrassing performance in the Super Bowl, it was clear that Gurley’s knee was an issue, and no matter how much the organization tried to hide it, they couldn’t ignore the questions.
But that was simply the problem for the Rams is despite all of the questions from the media and fans, they continued to make the claim that everything was fine with their star running back until the news finally came out about the arthritis in his knee.
Now, Gurley is scheduled to speak with the media on Monday after the team kicks things off with their offseason workouts, and while the Pro Bowler will do his best to focus the attention on the upcoming season, it’s safe to say the questions surrounding the knee will be coming.

Normally, Gurley has proven to be an absolute workhorse in the backfield for the Rams, but with this new issue surrounding his knee, the team has already made it clear they will be taking a different approach for the 2019 season in the backfield.
Whether the team wants to hear it or not, there will be concerns about Gurley’s knee until the regular season arrives, and shows signs of looking like his old self since what took place towards the end of the postseason was an absolute shock for all football fans.
But at least with Gurley scheduled to speak to the media on Monday, it will be interesting to hear what he personally has to say about everything that has been taking place, and hopefully provide some much-needed answers to help fans feel a little better.
No matter what, the knee is going to be the topic the media will want to discuss the most, and as much as Gurley wants to avoid the discussion, it’s the least he can do at this point in the offseason.
