Los Angeles Rams: 15 best first-round draft picks of all-time
By Dan Parzych
Leading up to the 2016 season before drafting Jared Goff, the Rams had desperately been trying to find a reliable quarterback to build the franchise around after failed attempts with numerous players.
Goff’s rookie campaign may have been far from smooth after failing to win a single game in seven starts. Luckily for Goff, the hiring of head coach Sean McVay has worked wonders in helping the former No. 1 pick develop into a top quarterback in the league.
Based off his previous two seasons under McVay, Goff has proven to be the kind of quarterback who only gets better with experience. This could likely indicate that the best has yet to come for the California product.
Not only has Goff gone 24-7 during the regular season since 2017, but he’s also managed to toss 60 touchdown passes in the process. Considering some were already labeling him a bust after his rookie season in 2016, this is nothing short of remarkable.
With the Rams providing their beloved quarterback with one of the top offenses thanks to Todd Gurley, and a trio of receivers led by Brandin Cooks, one can only imagine what the 2019 season could look like for Goff.
If all goes according to plan, Goff will have the Rams in great position to make another run at playing in the Super Bowl next February.
