As bits and pieces of the 2019 schedule continue to be released, it looks like the Los Angeles Rams will face the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football in November.

Last December when the Los Angeles Rams were rightfully considered one of the top teams in the NFL, Sean McVay‘s team received a major wake-up call in a tough matchup on the road against the Chicago Bears.

Heading into the contest, the Rams knew they would be in for a major challenge against one of the top defenses the league had to offer in the Bears, but even McVay seemed to be caught off guard over how much his team struggled.

While it was great to see Los Angeles hold Chicago to just 15 points, the Bears’ defense did an even better job holding the Rams to only scoring six points.

To prevent a high-powered offense like the Rams from scoring a single touchdown like they did was a huge statement by the Bears at the time. And while Chicago was devastated to see an early exit come January in the playoffs, Matt Nagy‘s team should once again be a top contender in 2019.

Since the end of last season, the Rams knew they would see the Bears once again during the regular season in 2019 with their opponents becoming official, and even though it’s a few hours early, it looks like Los Angeles will see the NFC North champions in November.

Unlike the previous meeting, the Rams hope to have a slight advantage playing at home in front of their own fans instead of Soldier Field since that stadium has been known to be difficult at times for opponents to play on.

It’s only April, but early signs point to this NFC battle being one of the top games for 2019 if both the Rams and Bears find a way to live up to the high expectations once again.

Knowing McVay, the Rams head coach will make sure his players are better prepared to take on Chicago’s defense since Los Angeles won’t have a shot if the offense fails to go another game without scoring a single touchdown.
