Week 3: Cleveland Browns (Away/SNF)
A few years ago, a matchup with the Cleveland Browns would seem like an easy win for the Rams when taking into consideration the team went 1-31 from 2016-17.
However, thanks to the Browns finally finding a quarterback to build the franchise around in Baker Mayfield along with adding one of the league’s top receivers this offseason in Odell Beckham Jr. to compliment the passing game, Cleveland looks like a serious contender all of a sudden.
Obviously, the Browns realize it’s much easier to be considered a contender on paper since the difficult part now becomes proving they have what it takes to live up to the hype. But after watching this team take a serious step in the right direction during the 2018 season, Cleveland should feel confident in their chances.
The Cleveland fan base in general is one of the most passionate groups in the country, and one can only imagine what kind of hostile environment Los Angeles will be entering when these two teams square off.
On a positive note, after proving to be able to handle the pressure of defeating the Saints on the road in January during the NFC Championship, the Rams should feel confident in their chances of doing the same with the Browns.
