Los Angeles Rams: 7-Round 2019 mock draft version 3.0

Round 3, Pick 100: Defensive Tackle Chris Slayton, Syracuse
Los Angeles faced plenty of tough decisions this offseason, but moving on from Ndamukong Suh arguably ranks near the top of the list due to the great fit he appeared to be on the defensive line with Aaron Donald last season.
The whole intention of signing Suh to a hefty one-year deal last offseason was due to the Rams being in a win-now mode for the Super Bowl, and while it was obviously tempting to bring the veteran back on another deal, the price tag was simply too much.
On a positive note, Los Angeles will have plenty of candidates worth considering at defensive tackle in the upcoming draft, and one name worth keeping an eye on in the third round if he happens to be available is Chris Slayton.
Syracuse was one of the biggest surprise teams in college football this past season, and it’s tough to imagine all of that success without Slayton’s impact on the defensive side of the football.
Slayton’s quickness is just one of many reasons to love his NFL potential, although areas like footwork could certainly use some improvement.
Still, this shouldn’t prevent the Rams from considering the Syracuse star since all they care about is whether Slayton can contribute right away as a rookie.
