Los Angeles Rams: 7-Round 2019 mock draft version 3.0
By Dan Parzych
Round 7, Pick 251: Running Back Jordan Scarlett
Never in a million years did it ever seem like the Rams of all teams would be concerned over their star running back in Todd Gurley heading into the 2019 season, but this appears to be exactly the case.
Los Angeles may never admit there’s concern surrounding Gurley’s knee, but with the lack of updates this offseason along with seeing how he finished last season, deep down they know the draft could be used to find insurance to their star running back just in case.
When compared to other running backs from this year’s draft class, Jordan Scarlett doesn’t stand out like some of his classmates, but if it came down to the Rams using their final selection of the draft on the Florida product, they would have nothing to lose.
Since the obvious plan would be to have everything turn out to be just fine with Gurley, the last thing the Rams want to do is use too high of a selection on a running back instead of focusing on another area in need of improvement.
With Scarlett’s massive size and strength, this could be a great compliment to Gurley in the backfield to make the offense look even more dangerous for the Rams.
