5 players Rams could target by trading down from No. 31 in 2019 NFL Draft

If the Los Angeles Rams decide to trade down in the 2019 NFL Draft, here are five potential targets to consider.
After months of waiting, the 2019 NFL Draft will officially get underway Thursday night, and for the first time since 2016, the Los Angeles Rams will actually have a first-round pick.
One year after their 2017 first-round pick went to the Tennessee Titans as a result of the Jared Goff trade the previous draft, the Rams pulled off another surprise move last offseason by trading for Brandin Cooks.
Without question, the decision by Los Angeles to give up a first rounder for a second year in a row to acquire the speedy wideout was one of the best decisions the team could have made since it only took one season to prove it was worth it.
As for Thursday, the Rams will officially be on the clock at No. 31 after coming up shy in Super Bowl 53 to the New England Patriots, but there’s already speculation the possibility of Sean McVay‘s team trading down.
A major advantage about having a pick this late in the first round if the leverage Los Angeles holds over teams looking to potentially trade up.
And with the Rams currently without a second-round pick at the moment, this could be a solid option if the players they’re targeting happen to be available early on in the second round.
So while fans continue to speculate over what could possibly go down with Los Angeles once Thursday’s draft officially gets underway, here are some potential targets worth considering for the second round if the Rams do end up trading down.
