2. Nasir Adderley

Back in free agency, Los Angeles came through in a big way by signing Eric Weddle after letting Lamarcus Joyner walk before he joined the Oakland Raiders, but the veteran safety is only the short-term answer on defense.

Since Weddle may only have a solid year or two left in him, the Rams are expected to look to the draft for a safety to put the defense in better shape for the long run.

Could Delaware’s Nasir Adderley be the safety the Rams are looking for? Well, since Adderley was projected by some to be selected on the first day, Los Angeles can only hope that he manages to slip to No. 45 since this would almost seem like a no brainer.

Some football fans will express concerns over Adderley coming from a smaller school compared to other players from the draft at his position, but this shouldn’t take away from what he could bring to the table.

Between the impact made at Delaware along with the opportunity to learn from one of the league’s best in Weddle, a selection of Adderley could work wonders for the Rams on defense, especially if he were to turn out to be an absolute steal falling to the second round.
