With Los Angeles Rams rookies reporting on Monday, this brings new excitement for the 2019 season with this young group.

Even though the 2019 NFL Draft came to an official end a few weeks ago, there was plenty of excitement on Monday with Los Angeles Rams rookies reporting to the facility before Tuesday arrives in which they’re scheduled to meet with members of the press.

For the third year in a row, the Rams ended up going without a first-round pick after making the decision to trade out of the first round, which seemed to work out just perfect since the team was still able to land Taylor Rapp in the second round.

Along with Rapp, Los Angeles has a few other rookies they hope to see make an impact right away on both sides of the football since the team is going to need all of the extra help possible to make another run at playing in the Super Bowl next February.

Time will tell when it comes to determining how much action Rapp ends up seeing as a rookie since this selection was more of a future plan since Eric Weddle was brought on board this offseason to help replace Lamarcus Joyner.

But when looking at some of the other players such as Darrell Henderson (third round) or Greg Gaines (fourth round), fans should be excited about the potential surrounding this rookie class when it comes to making an impact right away.

Over the years, the Rams have done an amazing job at finding gems in the middle of drafts, with Sean McVay and Les Snead deserving a ton of credit for the work they put in during the months leading up to the big event by studying prospects.

As exciting as it will be to see what this year’s class brings to the table, Los Angeles also knows there are no guarantees when it comes to these rookies being successful in the NFL, and these next few months will be extremely important from a development perspective.

Will Rapp eventually be a good replacement for Weddle down the road? Better yet, does Gaines have what it takes to help fill the void left by Ndamukong Suh on the defensive line?

Obviously, these questions weren’t answered on Monday when the rookies arrived, but before the Rams know it, the 2019 season will officially be underway, and they will have a better understanding in regards to finding out some of these answers.
