3 reasons Darrell Henderson could be surprise 1,000-yard rusher for Rams in 2019

1. Uncertainty surrounding Gurley
How frustrating has it been for Rams fans when it comes to getting answers about Gurley’s knee?
Time and time again, Los Angeles continues to make it clear there are no reasons for concern over their star running back despite what took place in the playoffs this past winter, but until Gurley proves himself on the football field, the concerns won’t go away.
Watching a top running back like Gurley struggle the way he did during the NFC Championship and Super Bowl was beyond frustrating for fans to witness, mainly because the Rams kept his knee injury a complete mystery.
Hearing the news later on that Gurley was dealing with arthritis made complete sense, and even though the team seems hopeful that he can return to his usual ways, there are no guarantees when it comes to these kind of injuries.
As much as the Rams don’t want to hear it, just imagine a scenario in which September arrives, and Gurley’s knee ends up still being a concern, resulting in the running back struggling like he did when Los Angeles needed him the most.
At least if this turns out to be the case, the Rams will be in much better shape with Henderson to rely on if necessary since after proving himself worthy of the No. 1 job at running back with the Tigers, the rookie seems capable of flourishing in this kind of offense run by McVay.
