2. Jordan Phillips
Moving on from Ndamukong Suh after signing the veteran to a hefty one-year deal last offseason was a difficult decision for the Rams since the thought alone of him teaming up again with Aaron Donald was tempting, but also this was the right decision.
All things considered, Los Angeles was smart enough to realize the kind of money Suh was looking for needed to be spent elsewhere, and while Greg Gaines will certainly help fill the void, the rookie is nowhere near the same playing level at the moment.
The good news for the Rams is despite Suh no longer being part of the picture, there are plenty of other players such as Tanzel Smart and Michael Brockers who seem thrilled over the opportunity to step up on the defensive side of the football.
As for where Buffalo could come into play, Jordan Philips made a strong enough impression last season after being claimed off waivers to earn a one-year deal from the Bills in March.
Phillips failed to make a single start in 2018 between time spent with the Bills and Miami Dolphins, but a move like this would be more so about depth for the Rams on defense, which never hurts.
The former Oklahoma star may have enjoyed his brief time in Buffalo enough to return for at least one more year, but when it comes to an opportunity to join a team like Los Angeles with their Super Bowl odds, there’s no debate over the better situation.
